Team Quinte from Canada-Wide Science Fair 2013
Final day in Lethbridge for team Quinte. Our finalists
showed off their projects once more this morning for the public and school groups.
After lunch they took down their boards, being able to keep the headers
with their titles. An afternoon in Lethbridge was enjoyed complete with
musical entertainment in Galt Park, a guided tour of Galt museum, dinner at
Boston Pizza and some shopping time at the downtown mall. Back to the
residence, packing and some last goodbyes to newly made friends. It has
truly been a great group to supervise. Everyone really got along, shared
stories, laughed a lot and had many interesting conversations. I think
they will really miss each others company next week when it is back to school.
We are proud of all their accomplishments this week.
Here is the word that summarizes their week and what was most
memorable for each of our candidates.
Aaron- "half decent"; "the amazing views at Waterton
Provincial Park"
Aysar- "awe inspiring" ; "meeting people from every
province and territory"
Brandan- " eyeopening"; "gaining a new perspective on
science and determination to do amazing things"
Govind- "inspirational" ; "seeing all the top
projects from all these creative people in one room was amazing"
Theresa- " supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"
; "meeting new friends"
